LANSING — Ahead of President Joe Biden’s fourth State of the Union address tonight, Chair of the Michigan Democratic Party Lavora Barnes released the following statement about the historic strides the Biden-Harris Administration has made in Michigan:
“We will hear tonight from a president who has delivered more for Michiganders than we have seen in generations. Joe Biden has continually followed through on his promise to rebuild our economy to support the middle class and leave no one behind.
“Our work is far from done, and tonight, President Biden will put forth a vision for the future that will expand on and protect our fundamental freedoms. The Biden-Harris Administration has already proven that they will drastically improve the lives of Michiganders, from lowering prescription drug costs to creating good union jobs to defending our democracy. In the past four years under President Biden, we have seen an America that is more fair, more free, and more democratic.
“Tonight will lay the groundwork for the next eight months. Michiganders know what’s at stake, and we are committed to doing everything we can to send Joe Biden and Kamala Harris back to the White House this November to continue delivering a brighter future for our state.”
