On the anniversary of Trump cheering the removal of core aspects of the ACA, Michigan Dems attack MAGA Republicans who want to rip healthcare away from millions
LANSING — On the 5th anniversary of Trump cheering a conservative judge’s ruling that found the Affordable Care Act unconstitutional, Michigan Democrats are slamming Trump and his cadre of radical Republicans who want to leave millions of people uninsured. Over and over again, Trump has threatened to gut the ACA and leave millions of Americans without insurance and struggling to access medical care.
“We know how much good the ACA has done for people, especially for our most vulnerable communities,” said Chair of the Michigan Democratic Party Lavora Barnes. “We must not forget that Republicans are a threat to every person who has found better, more affordable care through the ACA. Trump and his MAGA acolytes in Congress and the statehouse have one priority: letting vulnerable communities pay the price while they side with insurance companies and Big Pharma to kill families.”
If elected, Donald Trump and his cronies will do everything in their power to undo Democrats’ work that has created a more equitable healthcare system, saving millions of lives, millions of dollars, and millions of families.
We are still waiting for Trump and MAGA Republicans’ replacement plan for the ACA.
