Following the chaotic and combative Republican gubernatorial field’s third primary debate of the 2022 cycle, MDP Chair Lavora Barnes issued the following statement:
“The wheels fell off the Republican gubernatorial primary clown car in Macomb County tonight. The only thing Michigan families heard about a Rinke, Kelley, Rebandt, Dixon, or Soldano administration is what they would lose: funding for schools, roads, and law enforcement, an economy that attracts new, good-paying jobs to Michigan, free and fair elections, and Constitutional rights. Michigan families deserve a leader who will work with anyone to deliver real solutions to real problems, not conspiracy theories and unhinged rants.”
